Date Change 2020 – COVID-19

LAWSKI 2020 – current stance for 2020 (as of 17 June 2020)

Due to unfolding circumstances with COVID-19, the decision was made to move LAWSKI 2020 from our regular August weekend, to September: Thursday 10 - Sunday 13 September 2020. This decision was not made lightly and was made by the LAWSKI Committee in consultation with Kosciusko Thredbo Management and other key stakeholders.

We are doing everything in our power to avoid having to cancel LAWSKI this year, for the sake of our loyal attendees, and whilst we plan for the best, we want you to know that the health and safety of our LAWSKI patrons is of the utmost importance to us, and will be considered in all decisions.

Thredbo recent announcement

In early June, Thredbo announced their 22 June Opening Date including an initial plan for how the season will roll out, with comments “prepare for a very different Winter”. Thredbo announced fixed daily rates for all lift passes with no multi-day discounts or seasonal discounts, as well as no group bookings. Announced restrictions also dictate that the mountains will operate at 50% capacity for skiing and boarding and tickets will be sold on a first come first serve basis. To view these Thredbo Ski Season announcement details click HERE. These rules and regulations are to be reviewed during the season. Hospitality venue and event based restrictions are anticipated to wind down in line with State wide Covid-19 restrictions, and we will await further advice from Thredbo.

With the situation unfolding day by day, this does put further announcements from LAWSKI in a bit of a holding pattern. We are still cautiously optimistic in our hope of proceeding with LAWSKI and hope to make announcements in late June with further plans towards opening Registrations.

LAWSKI Registrations and Accommodation

We are working through a number of factors at present with Kosciusko Thredbo Management in hopes of having a LAWSKI offering and registration opening in late July/early August. This may or may not include a lift ticket offering. We do expect LAWSKI numbers will be smaller this year and the social program may look different this year, but we are confident that we can deliver a good time for all those that do attend!

We encourage you to reserve accommodation if you have your group ready to go and are keen to hit the slopes, taking into consideration cancellation policies. We are working through lift ticket arrangements, if you prefer certainty here, we suggest you purchase your tickets online.

We have LAWSKI group accommodation available which will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. To express interest here please email
